A Mission in Need of Your Help
For over a decade, Care for Kids International (CFKI) India, led by Pastor Tejoban Lima and his wife Rashmi, has been a beacon of hope for unreached children and communities in the remote jungles of Rayagada, Odisha, India. As a faith-based, nonprofit Christian children’s mission, our primary purpose is to share Christ’s love while providing holistic support—education, food, healthcare, clean water, and more—to the most vulnerable. But we face a critical challenge: we’ve never owned a vehicle to reach these remote villages. Today, we urgently need your help to raise $32,930 USD (26,34,460 INR) for a new mission vehicle to continue our life-changing work.
Who We Are and What We Do
Care for Kids International (CFKI) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Tax ID: 83-1180056) based in Parker, Colorado, USA, with a mission arm in India. Since 2012, we’ve served over 1,000 children, 500 families, and 20 villages in the deep mountain areas of Odisha. Our work includes:
- Sharing the gospel and planting churches among unreached tribal groups (Kui, Soura, Harijan).
- Providing education, food, healthcare, and clean water to destitute kids.
- Training and sending missionaries, hosting crusades, VBS, youth camps, and pastor seminars.
- Supporting widows, orphans, and persecuted communities with relief efforts (e.g., COVID-19 and flood relief).

Our Impact is Real:
Villages now know Christ’s love, children attend school, and families have food. But without a vehicle, our reach is limited, and our mission is at risk.
The Urgent Need for a Mission Vehicle
For 10 years, we’ve relied on rented vehicles or walking through dangerous jungles to serve remote villages. This has caused significant challenges:
• We can’t reach communities on time or follow up consistently.
• Transporting supplies or rushing patients to medical care is nearly impossible.
• During monsoons and summer, walking becomes unbearable, and we face risks from wild animals and insects.
A vehicle will transform our work by enabling us to:
• Visit remote villages regularly and deliver supplies efficiently.
• Respond to emergencies, like transporting sick children to health facilities.
• Expand our outreach to more unreached communities with the gospel.

The Vehicle We Need
We’ve identified the perfect vehicle for our mission: a Mahindra Scorpio N Z8L, a 7-seater SUV with four-wheel drive, ideal for navigating the rough jungle roads of Odisha. The total cost, including taxes, registration, insurance, and initial maintenance, is $32,930 USD (26,34,460 INR). Here’s the breakdown from the invoice:
• Ex-Showroom Price: 22,41,100 INR
• RTO (Road Tax): 2,24,110 INR
• Insurance: 90,350 INR
• Extended Warranty: 24,527 INR
• Accessories (Maxi Care): 30,000 INR
Total: 26,34,460 INR ($32,930 USD)
Additionally, we’ll need approximately $250 USD (20,000 INR) per month for fuel and maintenance to keep the vehicle running. We’re seeking funds for a new vehicle to avoid frequent repairs that come with a used one. So far, we’ve raised $0, so we urgently need your help to meet the full amount as soon as possible.

“My name is Tejoban Lima, and I serve in Rayagada, Odisha, with my wife Rashmi and our two sons, Ruben (13) and Rehan (8). I was once lost in darkness, even hating Christian work, but Jesus called me through a life-changing moment. After earning a Master of Divinity, I felt a burden to reach the unreached in India, where only 3% are Christian, and practices like animal sacrifices are common. Now, I serve among destitute tribal kids in remote mountain villages, sharing Christ’s love. I’m happy and thankful, and I pray you’ll join this great cause. Why Now?
This need is urgent. We’ve struggled without a vehicle since our mission began, facing challenges like monsoons, extreme heat, and dangerous wildlife while walking to villages. With a vehicle, we can serve more effectively and safely, especially during critical seasons and emergencies. There’s no set deadline—we need this vehicle as soon as possible to continue our work without delay.
